Find your country to see when the US working day reaches you, then read the guide for local setups, worked minute examples and what to check first.
Short answer
You can get a US phone number in any of these 25 countries the same way: the TripoSIM US number runs in an app over Wi-Fi or mobile data, with 300 minutes a month of calls to the US and Canada, for $100 a year. What changes by country is when US calls fit your day. Check local rules on internet calling first.

When does 9 a.m. in New York reach you?
Each table shows your local time when it is 9 a.m. in New York, on a day in the US summer (mid-March to early November) and a day in the US winter. Chicago is one hour behind New York and Los Angeles three hours behind, so add one or three hours for clients there. The times are worked out from the IANA time zone database each time the site is built.
How you get it: pay online, pass a short ID check with a photo ID and a selfie, pick your number and use it in the TripoSIM app. You do not need a US address or a Social Security number.
Calls: anyone in any country can call your +1 number. Calls you place go to US and Canadian numbers, 300 minutes a month.
Texts and codes: texts from US and Canadian senders and verification codes from apps arrive in the app. Sending texts is not included.
Several numbers: one person can have as many US numbers as they like, each with its own plan.
Limits: it needs an internet connection, it cannot call 911 or other emergency services, and it is for personal and small-business use only.
What should you check in your country?
Rules on internet calling differ by country, and a call on the number is an internet call on your network. Check with your regulator or mobile operator before you rely on it, and keep your local number for calls inside your country. Then run the ten-check reliability test on your own connection.
Which countries change their clocks?
The US moves its clocks forward on the second Sunday in March and back on the first Sunday in November. Most countries on this page keep the same time all year, so only the US side moves and your call window shifts by one hour twice a year. The UK, Germany and Portugal also change their clocks, but on the last Sundays of March and October, so for a few weeks a year the gap is one hour smaller. Read the best time to call US clients for the dates.
