How does calling work?
Open the TripoSIM app and dial a US or Canadian number. The call travels over your internet connection and reaches the other person as a normal call from your +1 number. They pay nothing extra and you pay nothing per call while you are within your monthly minutes. Each outgoing call is rounded up to the next full minute; unanswered calls are free.

How do you get good call quality abroad?
- Use a stable Wi-Fi network or a strong mobile data signal. Call quality depends on your connection.
- Allow notifications and microphone access for the app so calls ring and people can hear you.
- If you travel a lot, a travel data eSIM gives the app internet when Wi-Fi is poor. The yearly plan's $5 welcome credit can pay for one.
- Some countries restrict internet calling. Check the rules where you are before relying on it.
What is not included?
The plan does not include calls to countries other than the US and Canada. It cannot call 911 or any emergency number; for emergencies, always use a local mobile line.
